Dear students, parents and friends,

as learning is an endless process of every being‘s development, I have devoted my whole life not only to my personal educational achievements but also to teaching our future generations.

At first, in 1980’s I studied Geography and Cartography at Sir Sandford Fleming College/Trent University in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada.

After, between 1989 and 1993, I continued my studies at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada where I specialized in Behavioral and Cultural Geography. During the studies I was working as a TA (teacher’s assistant) helping my professors during lectures and tutorials. Additionally, for 4 years, I was employed as a Lecturer at the Science Centre North in Sudbury organizing lectures and presentations to visitors and also teaching visiting children of all ages about Human impact on our planet.

Furthermore, to gain international experience, in 1993 I decided to come to Bratislava to study Cultural and Human Geography at the graduate school of the Comenius University. At the same time I was pleased to accept a teaching position at the Faculty of Natural Resources lecturing Geography and Geology students.
In September 1994, I accepted another teaching job, teaching English at Súkromné slovanské gymnazium (SSG) in Bratislava. For more than 21 years I have been teaching, and loving every minute of it, at this secondary school.

Additionally, to enhance my personal knowledge, between 2005 and 2007, I was studying Master of Business, specialization in Projects, Law, and Economy of EU at the University of Burgenland in Eisenstadt, Austria.

During the 22 year period of my stay in Slovakia, I have been continually and intensively cooperating with a number of educational institutions, various state institutions and organizations, and major foreign companies where I have educated, trained, and helped many top managers and directors.

At SSG I have always been communicating with all students only in English, and therefore them not only becoming more fluent in the language but also preparing them to real life where due to fast processes of globalization English has become one of the most important assets in their lives. I have always had a close and open relationship with my students. I fully understand that students must enjoy the classes in order to like and easier to learn a foreign language. During the years my students and I have been to various international excursions, have participated in writing competitions, internal, local, and regional language Olympics, have organized lots of presentations but most importantly almost all of my students have excelled in their final ‘Maturita’ examinations. This is my personal best satisfaction and achievement.

Even in this school year I continue preparing our students to achieve the best skills and results, and making them ready to excel in the future. As every year we will organize various writing competitions, language Olympics, presentations etc.
